Top Businesses, Volunteers Earn 2017 Chamber Awards

The Greater Greenwood Chamber honored five outstanding companies and business people at its “Annual Chamber Celebration,” held April 27, 2017. The Chamber presents the awards annually to acknowledge outstanding business achievement, remarkable construction, and extraordinary volunteerism. The 2017 awards and winners are:

•  Ambassador of the Year: Cindy Tollar, Independent Associate, LegalShield
•  Member of the Year: Marisol Sanchez, VP and general counsel, Endress+Hauser
•  Pride and Progress Award for New Construction: The Barn at Bay Horse Inn
•  Pride and Progress Award for Renovation: Express Employment Professionals South
•  Salute Award: Radwell International, Indiana Branch

“This year’s award winners have singularly and collectively moved the community forward. They have grown local payroll, created welcoming places, and engaged in the community as leading corporate citizens,” said Christian Maslowski, Greater Greenwood Chamber president and CEO. “Their success lifts up the entire community.”

Ambassador of the Year Winner
This award is given to the outstanding volunteer Ambassador Committee member, based on the volunteer’s engagement, merit and efforts mentoring new business members throughout the recent calendar year. This year’s winner is Cindy Tollar, LegalShield Independent Associate.

 

Chamber Member (Person) of the Year Winner
This award is presented to a person who goes above and beyond to activate his or her company’s membership, support the Chamber, and promote the Chamber and its members. The 2017 winner is Marisol Sanchez, VP of Legal Affairs and General Counsel, for Endress+Hauser USA, Greenwood.

Pride and Progress Award (Renovation and New Construction) Winners
The Pride & Progress Awards recognize organizations that made outstanding design efforts which positively contributed to their business success and enhanced our community.

The 2017 award winner for renovation is Express Employment Professionals Indy South for their 6,000-square foot complete interior renovation and remodel at 201 South Emerson Avenue, Suite 110, Greenwood. They are recognized for their project’s attention to design, office park revitalization, utilization of 100% local vendors (including 70% fellow Chamber members), and the project’s resulting ability to grow jobs and increase area employment.

The 2017 award winner for new construction is The Barn at Bay Horse Inn for their new rustic-style event venue, which integrates modern conveniences and high-end finishes, at 1468 West Stones Crossing Road, Greenwood. The property also preserved forest land and features a private guest cabin. Their new venue, nearly 10,000-square feet in size with 35 feet high ceilings, is awarded for its design, community engagement, place making, and impact on the local tourism economy.

Salute Award Winner
The Chamber’s Salute Award recognizes Chamber member businesses that have demonstrated success in one or more of the following areas: growth and stability, commitment to quality, creative/unique solutions to challenges, and entrepreneurial spirit.

The 2017 winner is Radwell International’s Indiana branch, Franklin, IN. The company is an industry leader in electronic repair and Industrial controls. Their Indiana center is awarded for achieving extraordinary annual revenue growth rates, tripling its employment in three years, extraordinary corporate citizenship. Furthermore, Radwell Indiana will soon triple the footprint of their local operation and increase employment in 2017.
