Chamber Workers’ Compensation Insurance Program Pays Dividends. Literally.

Chamber Workers’ Compensation Insurance Program Pays Dividends. Literally.

Your Greater Greenwood Chamber provides still another benefit for members: a great new way to save on your workers’ compensation insurance costs! All members are eligible to participate in this program.

Members can benefit from the savings and dividends of the Accident Fund Insurance Company of America Workers’ Compensation Group Benefit.

The program offers members a 5 percent upfront discount on premiums and an opportunity for long-term dividends with no minimum premium to qualify. In addition, members have access to the fund’s online Loss Prevention Toolbox.

“This partnership with Accident Fund has been a real value to members,” said Christian Maslowski, Chamber president and CEO. “This is a great opportunity to realize savings monthly through Chamber membership.”

Members actually save in two ways — through the upfront discount and through dividends. The dividends are paid out to group members (Chamber members) depending upon how well the group performed, as determined by the loss ratio (claims to premiums paid). Since dividends are payable 15 months after group expiration and require approval by the Accident Fund Board of Directors, they cannot be guaranteed.

“Five of our members have earned 5 percent dividend checks since the group program did well,” Maslowski added. Those members earned between $45.70 and $3,750.00 in dividends. The total payout was $5,742.80.

Members who earned dividends are Geek in Pink computer repair, Greenwood Moving & Storage, Inc., Zaxby’s restaurant, Imperial Fence Co. and Lockhart Cadillac of Greenwood.

“We realize that small business owners are always looking to save money,” Maslowski commented, “and they look to the Chamber for ways to do this. We hope many of our members will take advantage of this great program.”

Members can learn more about the program by contacting Chamber Membership Development Manager Anna Murdock at 317.888.4856 or [email protected]. Or, they can contact one of these Chamber member independent insurance agencies:
