Greater Greenwood Chamber CEO to Chair State Association |

GREENWOOD, Ind. - Greater Greenwood Chamber President and CEO Christian Maslowski has been elected board chair of the Indiana Chamber Executives Association for 2017-18. Also, Executive Vice President Dan Canan of OneZone, a Hamilton County chamber, will assume the vice chair of organization finance & development position. ICEA represents more than 275 chamber professionals across Indiana. In his new board position, Maslowski also serves on the Indiana Chamber board of directors, concurrent with his ICEA term. He is the first Greenwood chamber executive to chair the ICEA. Maslowski was elected to the ICEA board in June of 2012 and has served as vice-chair of organization finance & development since June of 2013. “Christian brings a wealth of high-level leadership and professional experience to this position,” said Shelli Williams, ICEA president. “The organization has exceeded budget expectations each year under his leadership. Christian is a respected leader within the statewide network. His vision and organizational skills will lead ICEA to the next level as we continue to develop a strong network of professionals leading local chambers of commerce in Indiana.” Greater Greenwood Chamber Board Chair Christine Alfery noted, "Christian has done a phenomenal job leading the Greater Greenwood Chamber in building government relations at both the local and state level. He looks forward to sharing his knowledge and experience with other chamber professionals in Indiana." Maslowski received his B.A. degree from Manchester College and his M.B.A. degree from the Indiana Institute of Technology, and he has worked in the field of development and enrollment management in higher education. He assumed his current position at the Greenwood Chamber in 2007. The Indiana Chamber Executives Association is the statewide organization focusing on professional development and best practices for staff members leading local chambers of commerce in Indiana. Founded in 1915, ICEA membership is comprised of more than 275 professional staff members representing 100 local chambers of commerce from around the state. It is governed by an 11-member board of directors comprised of local chamber executives elected annually by the membership.
