Microloan, Major Results |

Many business owners may think applying for a microloan through the Greater Greenwood Chamber's partner Business Ownership Initiative (BOI), a program of the Indy Chamber's Entrepreneur Services division, won’t be impactful to their business. Besides, isn’t bigger always better? Perhaps not! Taking out a small ($1,000-$50,000) microloan through BOI can add up to big business when invested thoughtfully. You might be surprised by how a little can go a long way: • Purchase equipment to help your business grow • Access working capital to hire new staff • Update your website • Cover travel expenses for trade shows and conferences • Update your technology • Purchase materials necessary to help fulfill a contract • And more! Small business owners are risk-takers, innovators and job creators. Access to capital is a major issue, so BOI aims to provide alternative financing along with the advice and training to help make each dollar count. You do not need to be a Greater Greenwood Chamber member to access this business-boosting resource. Loan applicants must meet with a business coach who will assist them in the application process prior to submission to the BOI loan committee for approval. BOI coaches clients at the Greater Greenwood Chamber office each Wednesday, or by appointment. To find out more about microlending, contact BOI at 317-464-2222.
