Chamber Earns “Excellence” Award for Marketing Campaign

The Greater Greenwood Chamber was awarded a 2018 “Excellence in Communications Awards” from the Indiana Chamber Executives Association (ICEA).

The Chamber won the award for its "Unexpected Opportunities" messaging campaign. The goal of the campaign was to communicate the value of belong to and engaging with the Chamber within the Greater Greenwood community.

This campaign topic was introduced in February via our 2017 Community Guide cover letter, mailed to each member. The message was then fully developed and delivered via a video shown to 300 business and community leaders at the April 2017 Annual Chamber Celebration, as well as shared via the Chamber’s social media channels. Lastly, the campaign ran a series of digital flips on a billboard in Greenwood, located on Interstate 65 in an industrial area primed for development.

Award submissions were evaluated by a committee of out-of-state experienced chamber professionals and private-sector marketing professionals. ICEA maintains a minimum 90% average evaluation score needed to win an award. Only about half of award submissions are awarded.

This is the sixth consecutive year the Greater Greenwood Chamber received an Excellence in Communications Award from ICEA.

The Indiana Chamber Executives Association is the statewide association focusing on professional development and best practices for staff members leading local chambers of commerce in Indiana. Founded in 1915, ICEA membership is comprised of more than 275 professional staff members representing one hundred local chambers of commerce from around the state. More at www.ICEAonline.com.
