  • The Black Dirt Company is commemorating its 30th anniversary this month, so Panda Rose Consulting Studios, Inc. and the Greater Parkland Regional Chamber of Commerce joined in to celebrate with and congratulate the Hinkel family for such a proud milestone. Founders Kieth & Connie Hinkel (both retired) started the company in April 1994. When it was time to pass the baton, their son Darren Hinkel took over the business. He enjoys heaps of support from his wife Charlene, as well as their children, Dylan and Alicia. The Black Dirt Company is a Tri-Regional stalwart: The humongous contribution they make to Parkland County, the Town of Stony Plain and the City of Spruce Grove, cannot be emphasized enough. The Black Dirt Team learned some time ago that their Purpose and Motto is to "Cultivate Community", which is totally them in a nutshell, as it covers all they do and who they are. Here's to 30 more years of exceptional service!! * Phone: 780 962 8220 * https://lnkd.in/ghrVvG6a * Address: 300 Saskatchewan Avenue, Spruce Grove, AB T7X 3A5

  • Panda Rose Consulting Studios, Inc. was at the Acheson Business Association and Parkland County-hosted Business Breakfast, held at Supreme Steel, in Acheson. Thank you so much for your generosity in providing your magnificent building as the venue for this unique event. Parkland County Mayor Allan Gamble, Councilors Kristina KowalskiPhyllis Kobasiuk, Sally Kucher Johnson, & Rob Wiedeman, as well as senior administration, shared very important information and updates on Acheson's planned capital and long-term infrastructure projects. This was an excellent opportunity for the 150+ registrants to network with many local businesses and ask questions of County officials and staff. There was also a number of Parkland County departments spread around the room to share information on County initiatives. As customary, ABA Executive Director Jennifer A. Herrick and her Team pulled off another excellently organized, hosted and timed gathering. The generous and scrumptious breakfast meal was nicely catered by Freson Bros. • Panda Rose Consulting Studios, Inc. came by to say hi to Dennis & Anna Luecke, owners of PRETZEL SHACK Stony Plain & Spruce Grove. This time we visited them at their lovely and cozy Spruce Grove location. When Dennis & Anna started business on November 2nd 2021 out of their first bakery in Stony Plain, they didn't really know what to expect. It was 20 degrees below and nasty outside when they first opened the door. In spite of the dreadful weather, there were already about 80 people lined up and they sold out in no time! Same thing every day at the start: Just the 2 of them, working 110 hours a week. Dennis & Anna were totally overwhelmed during the first few weeks, until a German pastry chef found her way into Pretzel Shack to complete the team. Now they're a full-sized bakery with all the cakes, desserts, pastries, artisan bread, many different pretzels, and buns... everything you'd expect from a German bakery. They make it all from scratch, by hand, and with the best ingredients. A year and a half down the road they opened up a second location in Spruce Grove, right on the 16A. They call it their concept store, from which they've been blessing Spruce Grove customers. Even though Stony Plain and Spruce Grove are so close together, the demand is different. Almost every customer in Spruce, for example, requests cheese sauce with their pretzels, while they barely sell any at all in Stony Plain. Apparently, there are plenty of other differences as well. They bake everything at the Stony location and bring it over to supply the Spruce store. Recently, they started doing wholesale, supplying schools and restaurants. Regarding future plans, they're a little bit careful, because it's tough times for everyone and no one knows what this year is going to bring. * SPRUCE GROVE ADDRESS: 115 1st Ave E, Spruce Grove, AB Phone: (587) 286-0101 * STONY PLAIN ADDRESS: #103, 4305 - 50 St, Stony Plain, AB Phone: (780) 968-4729 EMAIL: stony@pretzelshack.ca https://lnkd.in/gRR7Kvvj

  • Panda Rose Consulting Studios, Inc. and the Greater Parkland Regional Chamber of Commerce were on hand to celebrate the Grand Re-Opening of the Stony Plain Lighthouse Church Outreach Centre. It was an honour to join in to commemorate such a milestone. We extend our appreciation to everyone who contributed their time, dedication and hard work to making this a reality. The Lighthouse Outreach Center has been a beacon of hope and support throughout the area, providing vital assistance and resources to those in need. Its reopening not only represents a physical renovation, but also a renewal of their commitment to serving and uplifting every member of our Tri-region! Our deepest gratitude to all volunteers, donors and supporters who tirelessly work year in year out, to bless our communities. Your unwavering dedication embodies the spirit of compassion and generosity that defines our district. Your contributions make a difference in the lives of so many, and your generosity will be felt for generations to come. Over a year ago, the Lighthouse Church suffered a flood in their Outreach House, which led to running their Outreach programs out of the church foyer's front. After successful fundraising initiatives, the renovations are complete, and they're ready to begin serving again out of the Outreach Centre (the house behind the church.) Despite the challenges of managing space over the last year, their "Food for the Soul" and "Garments of Praise" ministries still managed to support 8,452 people in our community, including folks from the Tri Region, Lac Ste. Anne County and Edmonton, during 2023. The church has hosted some very successful outreach community events in the recent past, namely the "Roll and Roar" attraction, that raised $10,000! 100% of these proceeds went right back into serving the community. Mayors Choy and Acker were only too glad to go into the dunk tank for this fun-raiser! Many other community events and activities were hosted by their "Food for the Soul" outreach, through which they fulfilled their mission of lending support to the community, through meeting practical needs, building relationships, and fostering a sense of belonging. Their volunteers look forward to continuing the mission of serving the community in love by meeting practical, spiritual and emotional needs. Thank you very much to Jeff Acker - Mayor, City of Spruce Grove, for your much appreciated presence at this event. The Lighthouse Church is located at 49 Boulder Blvd, Stony Plain, AB T7Z 1V6. Sunday morning Service begins at 10:30.
